I started a new job not too long ago… there was a couple of other people who started at the same company on basically the same day.
One of them being an 18 year old girl. Pretty attractive, but I surprised to find out she was only 18.
She’s crazy though.
She came over one day talking about how her boyfriend is in love with her, but she doesn’t want to be with him, but she does, but they’re going to two different colleges and she wants to just go to college and go crazy and basically experience sleeping around with various people…. not her exact words, but that’s still basically what she said/implied. I thought it was funny. And oh, so typical of an American 18 year old girl who knows she’s reaching her sexual market peak (or maybe doesn’t know it, but at least feels the male attention she gets wherever she goes).
I sit next to another guy who started when we did. He’s 26. Cool dude. Supposedly is good with women… based on his own accords and tales of his life.
Anyway… the dynamic with the 18 year old girl is interesting. I tease her a lot when I do talk to her, but when she comes over to where we sit, she usually comes over to talk to the other dude, like she goes over to his desk. Talks to me a little bit too, but only trying to tease me about how I’m not working or whatever else.
One day me and dude were leaving and getting on the elevator and he says to me, “So, what’s up? You going to get that girl? She likes you…”
I actually felt that she had been showing some interest in me, but was surprised he had picked up on it too, so I ask, “why you say that?”
His response, “have you not seen the way she looks at you? Pay attention next time. She comes over and talks to me, but she’s looking over at you the whole time… she wants you, bro…”
I already knew this was true, because I’ve seen the way she looks at me when I walk by her side of the office.
A couple of days after he says this, I’m working at the copy machine when she comes over. I’d been working late a lot lately, 14 hour days and shit. She comes up close to me and whispers, “You know what I think?”
I look at her… “what’s that?”
“Nobody has that much work to do… I think you stay here late because you’re fucking somebody in this office.”
I’m completely shocked that she really just said this to me. I just laugh at her. ”You’re a silly girl, who comes up with silly stories…” and I continue to laugh.
“That’s not denying it! I know I’m right! Who is it? Is it [name]? She is kind of cute….” And, she names literally the hottest chick in the office. Wow. That chick is high up in the company too… probably younger 30′s but, seriously, the hottest chick in the office…. like, it’s not even debatable. I’m actually flattered that this little 18 year old girl thinks highly enough of me to think I could actually fuck the hottest chick in the office. Hmmm…. I just continue to laugh and again make fun of her for “concocting silly stories in her head.”
She walks away and looks back at me and says, “I know I’m right!”
As soon as she walks away the nerdy IT guy who was close by and seen me talking to her (but not close enough to actually hear the conversation) comes over and says to me, “she’s a blabbermouth that one. She’ll talk your ear off. But she is a fox though… I think so anyway. There’s a couple in this office.”
I can’t help but to crack a smile when he says this, but he’s right. There’s a couple. 3 actually. By my count. The one I mentioned who’s in her 30′s, another one and then the 18 year old. They’re the only three worthy of my attention. But, the 18 year old is definitely the most gettable….. for me, anyway.
But…. I’m not sure how to play it.
She’s 18, so not old enough to drink yet. We work together, and she has a boyfriend, but basically either doesn’t want to be with him or at least is open to cheating with him, and she knows I have a girlfriend… it’s a different game than I’m used to.
The other day a group of us went out of lunch and she came along too. While we were walking to all of the food places, I basically isolated her and walked and talked with her for a bit, just running some “get-to-know-ya” game and feeling her out.
I maintain my teasing and aloof frame with her and I know I’m doing well and have attraction and value in her eyes, but in order for anything to happen, I’d have to get her alone away from the office….
So, now it really just comes down to logistics and escalation….
